Vice President, Renewable Power Operations & Maintenance

CPV is seeking a Vice President, Renewables Operations & Maintenance (O&M) to establish, build, and lead the company’s renewable energy operations and maintenance function. This successful candidate will develop the operational framework, processes, and team necessary to support CPV’s growing portfolio of wind and solar assets.


This role will be responsible for standing up and overseeing CPV’s Renewable O&M organization by developing, creating and establishing site environmental, health and safety procedures, operational standards, maintenance strategies, and training requirements that are typical for an O&M company. Site personnel will report directly to this position.


This position will report to CPV’s head of Asset Management and will work closely with CPV’s Development, Engineering & Construction, Asset Management, and Energy Management teams to ensure a seamless transition of projects from construction into long-term operations while building a scalable operating platform capable of supporting CPV’s expanding renewable portfolio.

Location: Strong preference to report to CPV’s Braintree, MA office with consideration for remote-friendly working arrangement.
Travel: Approximately 25% travel to project sites and various CPV offices locations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the creation, implementation and upkeep of all necessary site environmental, health and safety procedures and protocols
  • Establish the organizational structure, staffing plan, and operating model for Renewable asset operations
  • Direct oversight of all site employees including recruitment and training
  • Design and implement operations and maintenance strategy and outage planning for both solar and wind technologies
  • Establish and standardize fleet-wide operating and maintenance practices across Renewable projects
  • Utilizing asset monitoring, performance analytics, and maintenance management systems using CPV’s exiting monitoring systems
  • Develop operational KPIs and reporting structures aligned with CPV’s asset management objectives
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements, including NERC where applicable
  • Overseeing root cause analysis efforts
  • Support construction-to-operations transitions, warranty management, and capital improvement initiatives
  • Partner with CPV’s Asset Management, Energy Management, Finance, Regulatory, and External Affairs teams for reporting and performance alignment
  • Represent CPV in stakeholder meetings, investor discussions, and site visits

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of power operations and maintenance best practices
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing geographically dispersed teams
  • Advanced analytical capability and experience with CMMS, and performance platforms
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing O&M budgets
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence
  • Must successfully clear a pre-employment criminal background and financial credit check

Experience:

  • 10+ years of power industry experience with operations and maintenance leadership responsibility with renewable power preferred
  • Demonstrated accountability for safety, compliance, operational performance, and contractor/OEM management
  • Managing or direct responsibility for power personnel

Compensation: The base annual salary range for this position is $175,000 – $225,000 in the Company’s good faith estimate. The actual base salary for this position will be contingent upon individual experience, role responsibilities, and office location.

In addition to base salary, this position allows additional compensation and benefits, including:

  • an annual discretionary bonus up to 40%, fully contingent based on individual and company performance,
  • paid time off (PTO) of 120 hours per year, hours earned monthly, and up to 13 company paid holidays, and
  • group benefits: 100% company paid medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with a 100% company match up to 6%, life insurance, short-and-long term disability, parental leave and flexible spending accounts.

The base annual salary range may be modified in the future.
