Sherman leads CPV as the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), taking the role in January of 2025. He most recently served as CPV’s President and Chief Commercial Officer where he was responsible for commercial strategy, the origination of off-take agreements and hedges for development projects and overseeing the commodity marketing and trading activities for CPV’s managed portfolio. Sherman joined the company in 2006 and has more than 25 years of experience in the energy sector.
Prior to CPV, Sherman was Director, Portfolio Management at PG&E NEG where he was responsible for the daily commercial optimization and fuel supply contracting of over 7,000 MW of gas, oil, coal, and hydro capacity. Sherman holds an MBA from Columbia Business School at Columbia University, a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Columbia University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.

Gary is the Co-Founder & Executive Vice Chairman of the Board of CPV. He co-founded the company with Doug Egan in 1999. Prior to this role, he served as CEO, and has been a member of the Board of Managers since inception. Gary has overseen the successful development, financing, and construction of numerous major thermal and renewable energy infrastructure projects, as well as, the management of thousands of megawatts of electric generation assets.
Prior to forming CPV, Gary was a Vice President in the project development group of PG&E Generating Company and a Manager of Development at J. Makowski Associates. Gary holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Peter Podurgiel

President, CPV Low Carbon Generation
Peter is President of CPV’s Low Carbon Generation. He is a thought leader for next-generation fuel and carbon-capture applications. He leads CPV’s project development and energy transition strategy and is pioneering new advancements toward the goal of using emerging technologies in innovative ways to lower emissions and costs toward sustainable power generation solutions. Peter has been with CPV since its inception and has commercialized and transacted over 10 GW of state-of-the-art power projects.
Prior to CPV, Peter’s early career was in large-scale commercial and retail real estate development. He then transitioned into the power industry where he served in critical project development roles for PG&E Generating Company. Peter holds a B.S. in Finance from Fairfield University.
Sean Finnerty

Sean Finnerty
President, CPV Renewable Power
Sean serves as President of CPV Renewable Power. He leads the company’s renewable development efforts throughout North America, managing a skilled team of development and commercially focused professionals. He also is responsible for securing equity for CPV’s generating projects and identifying opportunities to profitably grow the Company. Since joining CPV at its inception, Sean has held various leadership roles for CPV and has been a key member of senior management. Previously, he led a broad-based program focused on the development of new natural-gas-fired development projects across North America and oversaw the successful development of over 1,000 MWs of wind generation in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
Prior to his time at CPV, Sean worked in project development and government affairs at PG&E Generating Company and held various positions in state government. Sean holds an MBA from Suffolk University and a B.S. in Resource Economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Qadir Khan

Qadir Khan is the President of CPV Retail and is responsible for leading the retail entity. He has more than 20 years of experience in both the C&I and residential retail electric power industry.
Prior to joining CPV Retail, Qadir held several leadership roles with Con Edison, and Source Power and Gas. He has extensive experience, originally building his retail career at Con Edison before starting his own retail company, Source Power and Gas. He built Source Power and Gas from the ground up to one of the top-tier C&I retail companies in the United States and successfully sold the company to ERM, an Australian-based publicly traded retail entity. Qadir is a graduate of the State University of New York (SUNY) at Plattsburgh, McGill, and Harvard Business School.
David Vickerman

David Vickerman is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for CPV. Over the last 25 years, David has spent time both as a principal investor and portfolio company C-Suite executive having built, scaled, and managed both energy companies and investment funds to produce significant results.
Prior to joining CPV, David has spent the last 10 years as a C-Suite Executive (CFO, COO and CCDO) at leading private equity backed US renewable energy IPPs. Over this time, he led the successful completion of several equity capital raises totaling over $500 million as well as successful exits of platform companies to strategic investors. In addition, he managed the growth and scaling of these businesses in the development and financing of over 2,000MW of energy assets.
David holds an MBA from Wake Forest University and a BSc in Mathematics from Western University in Canada. He has also completed the University of Toronto’s Corporate Director’s Program.

Paul is the Executive Vice President of Finance for CPV. Over the past 19 years with CPV, he has been responsible for the financial structuring of the company’s development projects, management of its existing project capitalization and recapitalization efforts, and oversight of the finance group which manages the finances of the assets managed by CPV’s Asset Management Group. While at CPV, Paul has arranged over $6.5Bn in senior and mezzanine capital for CPV’s natural gas and wind power generation projects and has overseen the projects’ transitions through construction into operations. Paul has 27 years of experience in the energy sector, starting with the J. Makowski Company, and just prior to joining CPV as Director of Finance for InterGen. Paul holds a B.A. in Economics from Wesleyan University.

Olga serves as the SVP and Controller for CPV. Olga has over 25 years of experience in the energy sector, leading accounting, and finance functions in the US and globally. Prior to joining CPV, Olga led Finance teams at multinational energy companies including: Energix Renewables, Sol Systems, Terraform Power, and AES.
Olga holds an MBA from TRIUM, a partnership program of NYU Stern School of Business, London School of Economics and HEC Paris School of Management, and a BSc in Economics from Eastern-Kazakhstan State University.
Nathan Rushing

Nathan Rushing

Nathan is the Executive Vice President, Energy Transition Assets for CPV. He joined CPV in 2007 and currently oversees all commercial activities for CPV’s operational assets and the third-party assets CPV manages across PJM, NYISO and ISO-NE. Those activities include the creation and implementation of daily bidding strategies, gas procurement, hedging structures, overseeing market settlement, providing input into ISO regulatory matters which impact Gross Margin and managing various energy management related contracts.
Prior to his work within CPV’s Energy Management team, Nathan led the development of a 900 MW combined cycle project within ERCOT and led various efforts in the development of CPV Maryland and CPV Shore. Additionally, in 2011 between periods at CPV, Nathan co-founded the first non-utility energy efficiency aggregation company in PJM which was ultimately sold to an affiliate of LS Power.
Prior to joining the energy industry, Nathan served our country as an Infantry Officer, achieving the rank of Captain before leaving the Army to pursue his next career. Nathan holds a B.S. in Economics and Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Jonathan Odell

Jon is Executive Vice President, General Counsel for CPV. He is responsible for CPV’s legal, compliance and corporate governance matters. He has extensive experience in electric power and other major infrastructure project development, joint ventures, equity investments, acquisitions, and divestitures. Jon served as CPV’s outside counsel since its inception and has more than 20 years of private practice experience.
Previously, he was a partner at Crowell & Moring LLP and prior to that a partner at Dickstein Shapiro LLP. Jon holds a JD from the University of Miami School of Law and a B.A. in Special Studies from Cornell College.
Thomas Rumsey

Thomas Rumsey

Tom is Executive Vice President of Sustainability and External Affairs for CPV. In his role, Tom oversees CPV’s ESG program to ensure the company operates in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner. He is also responsible for all regulatory affairs, government relations, corporate communications and RTO relations.
His previous role was as the Senior Vice President of External Affairs at the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO). Prior to joining the NYISO, Tom was an executive with General Electric where he held positions of increasing responsibility culminating in his role as the Chief Marketing Officer for Power and Water, GE’s largest industrial business.
He is retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Army with over two decades of leadership experience and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School’s General Management Program. Tom holds an MBA from the University of Maryland and a B.S. in Aeronautical Studies from the University of North Dakota.

Dawn joined CPV in 2022 as Chief Compliance Officer and oversees the company’s corporate compliance program. Dawn has extensive experience in power generation and power marketing compliance, working with independent power producers as well as in the public utility sector. Dawn is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, holds a B.S. from Bentley University and a J.D. from Massachusetts School of Law.

Joe joined CPV in 2006 and is the Senior Vice President of Asset Management. Joe’s firsthand experiences with power generating facilities and working directly with energy marketers and the facility teams gives him unique insights towards the relationship between project financials and operations. Joe focuses on opportunities to improve gross margin and reduce operating expenses while maintaining the highest level of plant reliability and safety. Being involved with so many projects has allowed Joe to work extensively on combine cycle and renewable operations.
Prior to joining CPV, Joe worked for the independent engineering firm, R.W. Beck, Inc. (now known as Leidos) as an Operations and Performance Consultant and for PG&E NEG, where he held engineering positions at power plant sites and corporate offices. Joe holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Christine Harris is the Vice President of People for CPV. Since joining CPV in 2017, she has held management responsibility for the HR and Administration teams, which expands across a range of HR functions such as talent acquisition, benefit and payroll administration, performance management, employee relations, and administrative support.
With 25 years of HR experience, the majority of her career has been spent in the financial services sector at Thomson Reuters / Thomson Financial.
Christine holds a B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University and professional HR certifications, SHRM-CP and PHR.
Hernando Caicedo

Hernando is Vice President of Information Technology for CPV. He brings over 25 years of experience in managing information systems and is responsible for all facets of CPV’s information system, including the network infrastructure for all the CPV-owned plants. He works closely with CPV Asset Managers to address cybersecurity and system reliability.
Before joining CPV in 2008, Hernando was the Managing Partner of HCI Network Solutions responsible for the company’s network consulting practice. Prior to his role at HCI Network Solutions, he was the Director of Enterprise Services at Planet Technologies overseeing Microsoft technology implementations at the Department of Energy. Hernando holds a B.A. in Information Systems from the University of Maryland University College and several IT industry certifications from Microsoft and Cisco.
