Competitive Power Ventures, Inc. (“CPV”), with headquarters in Silver Spring, MD, and offices in Braintree, MA and Sugar Land, TX, is uniquely positioned to leverage global technology and financial partnerships to help modernize America’s power generation. We are driven to improve our energy infrastructure by developing and operating power generation facilities using cutting edge, domestically available natural gas, and renewable power technology. CPV is owned by OPC Energy, the first privately held electric company in Israel. OPC Energy became a public company in August 2017 and is traded on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE: OPCE).

CPV is looking for a Manager, Marketing and Corporate Communications to join its External Affairs team. This position is located in the Greater Boston, MA area, and reports to the Director of Corporate Communications. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating brand development and marketing for the company’s CPV Retail business line as well as supporting both internal and external corporate communications activities.

Responsibilities
CPV Retail (60%)

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for the company’s growing Retail business while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify content needs across channels.
  • Produce high-quality written and visual content including ideation, drafting, editing, and distribution across various platforms to drive thought leadership, lead generation, brand awareness and business development.
  • Focus areas include short and long-form blogs, social posts, emails, infographics, videos, podcasts, etc.
  • Direct multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Establish and maintain relationships with retail energy publications, trade shows, and conferences to cultivate opportunities to expand the reach of CPV Retail.
  • Work directly with CPV Retail senior leadership to understand business objectives, marketing needs, the CEO and senior leadership of the Retail business to drive business objectives.
  • Stay on top of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to position the company as a leader.
  • Ensure brand consistency including brand guidelines, messaging, and tone.

CPV Corporate (40%)

  • Oversee design direction of CPV corporate collateral liaising with creative agency and internal stakeholders to ensure brand consistency.
  • Support CPV brand development initiatives and assist on crisis communications, as needed.
  • Collaborate with Director of Corporate Communications on corporate social strategy.
  • Support corporate events, including onsite execution as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or other related field is strongly preferred. Graduate degree in any of these fields is highly desirable.
  • Five (5) + years’ experience in marketing, communication, or related roles, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Marketing experience in the energy sector strongly desired.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for a diverse audience in the form of written communications, presentations, and infographics.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-starter able to manage several tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on accurate and economic execution.
  • Experience monitoring and reporting on performance metrics and making data-driven suggestions to amplify content reach and generate targeted leads.
  • Proven experience developing strategic plans and budgets, such as communication campaigns or commercialization strategies.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor that aligns with our core values.
  • Requires approximately 20% travel. This includes travel to CPV offices and trade shows throughout the US.
  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background and financial credit check.
