CPV Retail Energy is one of North America’s fastest growing energy supply providers targeting larger commercial and industrial customers. We have an open opportunity for a Director of Retail Operations, to join the Retail team, based in our office in Sugar Land, Texas. Reporting to the Vice President, Retail Operations, the Director of Retail Operations is responsible for the planning, guidance, and daily execution of the retail operations processes within the customer order-to-cash lifecycle. This position will manage the day-to-day activities of the Operations department, working with both external vendors and internally integrated departments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Directing the pre-deal and post-deal operations responsibilities for commercial and industrial retail electricity customers
• Evaluating efficiency and effectiveness of operations team and systems
• Ensuring proactive review of customer enrollments, drops, billing, and exceptions handling
• Ensuring timely and effective communication with customers and brokers/consultants
• Participating in setting, maintaining, tracking, and reporting KPIs
• Directing close coherence and contributing to the company’s operations policies and procedures
• Evaluating and recommending systems and products necessary to provide accurate and effective operations activities
• Elevating team performance by coaching, helping operations team to expand and polish skill sets and capabilities
• Other duties as identified

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred
• 7 to 10 years of experience leading core operational teams in Retail Energy
• Proven leadership and coaching abilities
• Effective critical thinking skills, problem-solving capabilities, and ability to independently research and communicate resolution of complex issues
• Detail oriented, organized, and comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent organization skills
• Experience in quantitative analysis of data
• Exhibit a professional demeanor that aligns with CPV core values
• Experience in PJM is preferred
• Experience with understanding and billing complex products is preferred
• Experience in new market entry is preferred
• Experience with M&A integrations is preferred
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and financial credit check
