CPV is looking for a Manager of Regulatory Affairs to join its External Affairs team. This position is located in Braintree, MA, and will execute, manage, monitor, and coordinate the regulatory strategy and advocacy within the New York and New England markets. The primary responsibilities encompass representing the company in the shared governance process to optimize our asset value by advocating for market evolutions that foster competition in the wholesale energy market, working with internal stakeholders to define and resolve issues within the RTO footprint, and supporting business development for future projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute company’s regulatory strategy including market design initiatives, interconnection activities and potential growth opportunities.
- Manage and direct assigned consultants to ensure alignment and impact.
- Represent the company within appropriate Trade Associations.
- Track and participate in key initiatives and legislative efforts at the state and local level for assigned footprint
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree.
- Experience with electricity generation or wholesale marketing.
- A strong understanding of the principles of competitive power markets.
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills with a strong entrepreneur mindset, eager to learn and grow their position and role in the team
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage several tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with a key towards accurate and economic execution
- Travel requirements: 20-30%
- Strong oral and written English skills
- Must pass a pre- employment background and financial credit check
Compensation: The base annual salary range for this position is $120,000 – $150,000 in the Company’s good faith estimate. The actual base salary for this position will be contingent upon individual experience, role responsibilities, and office location.
In addition to base salary, this position allows additional compensation and benefits, including:
- an annual discretionary bonus up to 25%, fully contingent based on individual and company performance,
- paid time off (PTO) of 120 hours per year earned monthly, and up to 13 company paid holidays, and
- group benefits: 100% company paid medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with a 100% company match up to 6%, life insurance, short-and-long term disability, parental leave and flexible spending accounts.
The base annual salary range may be modified in the future.
