Community Benefits

• New revenue that can be used toward community benefit. The project will be paying the development authority $100k over the first 10 years and will pay the county over $2.6M in property taxes in the first 20 years.
• Approximately 100 jobs are expected to be created during the construction phase; local firms and individuals will be engaged for engineering, surveying, site preparation and construction; inspection and maintenance during operation will also create jobs locally
• Local businesses will benefit from increased commerce from the project and workers
• Large-scale solar projects, like Stagecoach Solar, can be built more economically than smaller facilities, producing savings that can reduce the price of the electricity
