Gary is the CEO of Competitive Power Ventures ("CPV"), North America's leading independent power development and asset management company.

Gary co-founded CPV with Doug Egan in 1999 as a thermal project development company, expanding into renewable energy/wind power development and asset management in 2003. He is responsible for the overall management of the company and is a member of the Board of Managers.

Gary has overseen the successful development of numerous major thermal and renewable energy infrastructure projects as well as the management of thousands of megawatts of electric generation assets. In 2015, Gary led the successful effort to identify and forge an agreement with new equity partner Global Infrastructure Partners ("GIP") to help fund CPV's plans for significant growth and geographic expansion.

Prior to forming CPV, Gary was a Vice President in the project development group of PG&E Generating Company. His responsibilities included the oversight of electric development and acquisition efforts throughout the United States. Prior to PG&E, Gary was a manager of development at J. Makowski Associates. He's also worked for both Catalyst Energy Construction, Inc. and its spin-off Hydro Power Corporation developing and overseeing construction of 1-to-5 MW hydroelectric projects. Gary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
